The biggest annual podcast event is back—and this year it’s in-person and virtual! Podcast Movement 2021 takes place in Nashville, TN (and also online) August 3–6 and serves as the ultimate gathering spot for anyone interested in podcasting or the podcast industry—including creators, professionals, and marketers.
This year, Right Side Up’s offline team will lead two panel discussions with other podcast and marketing industry professionals. One will be focused on international performance marketing and the other will explore the effects of privacy changes on podcast ad revenue.
Read on to learn more about what you’ll see from RSU at Podcast Movement 2021. And if you want to join us (we'll be attending virtually), we’d love to see you! You can get 35% off your Podcast Movement pass with code RSU.
Going Abroad: International performance marketing
You’ve conquered the U.S. podcast market. Your KPIs look good, your ROI is strong, and you’ve elevated your brand in the marketplace. Now it’s time to spread your wings and venture abroad to gain your share of the international market. This conversation between Grant Durando (Senior Manager, Offline Marketing at Right Side Up) and Nick Southwell-Keely (US Director of Sales & Brand Partnerships at Acast) will cover the opportunities and challenges of international podcast advertising. We'll also look at who is involved in that landscape, so you can take your program to a wider audience.
This session will take place on Wednesday, 8/4 from 1:30–2:15pm CST on the Monetization Stage.
Privacy Wars: What it means for podcast ad revenue
For marketers, the feud between Apple and Facebook about privacy was more than just a headline. In many cases, it has directly affected their bottom lines and ability to scale paid social. Then, iOS 14.5 created hurdles for marketers to overcome in the quest to acquire customers. And as the gatekeepers continue to move the goalposts, many are turning to offline campaigns to fill the gap. In this panel, Krystina Rubino (Head of Offline at Right Side Up) will be joined by David Hamilton (Co-Founder of BackBeat Media) and Jess Rouzan (Growth Marketing Manager, Audio at Brooklinen) to explore why podcasts remain a great channel to diversify your marketing channel mix, what you can do to help safeguard your current podcast acquisition efforts in this ever changing landscape, and how publishers can prepare for the next wave of marketers looking to shift some of their digital ad budget to offline.
This session will take place on Thursday, 8/5 from 1:30–2:15pm CST on the Marketing Stage.
We hope you’ll join us as we dive deeper into the world of podcast advertising and learn how it can be a powerful channel in your marketing mix. You can purchase your Podcast Movement 2021 passes here. Don’t forget to use code RSU during checkout to save 35% on your pass!
